On Saturday August 6, 2022, a very hot and beautiful day, PTRJ

Mentoring hosted the Visually Impaired Social Society Club.

Board members, advisors, friends, mentors and mentees, welcomed these

visually impaired along with some of their family members. Our advisory

member, Emma Scott, all the way from Marilyn, barbecued chicken,

hamburgers, hot dogs, and hot links. The menu also included spaghetti,

baked beans, potato salad, Coleslaw, ice cold lemonade, watermelon, and

assorted cakes.

Willie Mae Taylor, our activities director, entertained our guests with

several enjoyable games. Our young mentees were hosts and served our

guests. The oldest visually impaired in attendance was 95 and he served as the

DJ for the day.

We enjoyed a wonderful time, and the visually impaired seniors said they did

too.
